The objectives and performance contract 2014-2017
On Thursday, 26 February 2015, Stéphane Le Foll, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry and the Government spokesman, Jean-Charles Arnaud, President of INAO and Jean-Luc Dairien, Director, signed the new contract of objectives and performance of the INAO.
This new contract sets the main objectives that the Institute will aim to achieve until 2017 and is organized around two major axes:
• strengthening support for the success of the official signs of origin and quality (SIQO)
• simplifying the procedures for prosecution filed by the defence and management organisations (ODG).
Origin, quality, and modernity at the service of the territories: it is around these guidelines that this agreement has been prepared, at the end of a joint reflection session in which the members of national committees, the services of the State and employees of the Institute participated.
This objectives and performance agreement signed the year of the 80th anniversary of INAO enables the Institute to reaffirm its role in defence, management and control of the signs of quality. It also reflects the validated financial decisions, marked by significant increases in the contribution of the sectors and the continuing commitment of the State alongside the Institute.
"Our ambition: develop public policy of the official signs of origin and quality in France and in the world, and for this, reinforce the economic actors who are committed to it», said Jean-Charles ARNAUD, President of the Permanent Council of the INAO.
He also thanked the Minister for "the strong sign that this contract represents, which is the expression of a commitment of the State and the professional sectors to work together to develop official signs of quality".
