Common and specific control provisions

Since 2018, INAO has been gradually rolling out a harmonized control system, based on common control provisions (DCC) and specific control provisions (DCS). This approach harmonizes and simplifies the control system.

The common control provisions (CCP) define the control procedures applicable to official signs by the control bodies and the defense and management bodies. These provisions are supplemented, for each specification, by control provisions specific to that specification.

Thus, the control plan for a specification of a product under a quality and origin identification sign is made up of:

  • Common control provisions established by the INAO, which may be supplemented by control provisions common to sectors;
  • Specific control provisions established by the control body.

For more information on how to apply these provisions, you can consult the presentation document (PDF format - 234ko) of the scheme.
