Every year, INAO collects and analyzes economic data for products under the SIQO (official sign of quality and origin) label. The data inherent to the year 2023 is now available through a pedagogical and accessible support, which offers a global vision of the economic activity of the sectors under SIQO.

Discover products under official signs of identification of origin and quality (SIQO) and their conditions of production

In France, there are more than 1,200 products under SIQO. Whether PDO, PGI, Label Rouge, organic... they bear witness to the richness of France's culinary heritage, thanks to demanding criteria and know-how handed down from generation to generation. SIQO in figures

In 2022, INAO supervised 1,204 products, including 366 PDO/AOC wines, 17 PDO spirit drinks and 5 PDO/AOC ciders and perries, 105 PDO agrifoods (including 51 dairy products) and 2 forestry AOCs. INAO also oversees 76 PGI wines, 35 GI spirit drinks, 2 PGI ciders, 148 PGI agrifoods, 5 TSG and 443 Label Rouge products. For the organic farming sector, in 2020 in France there were more than 89,030 operators (producers, processors, distributors and importers) committed.
