Two new economic studies on SIQO

INAO collects and analyzes economic data on SIQO products. In collaboration with its partners, the institute valorizes this information through various publications. Two new documents have recently been produced: the economic memento for the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, and the study on the sustainability of the Maroilles PDO sector.

Memento économique Nouvelle-Aquitaine

Due to its varied terroirs, New Aquitaine's agricultural and food productions are characterized by their great diversity. 300 products under SIQO bear witness to the richness of the region's heritage, benefiting from demanding quality criteria and know-how handed down from generation to generation.

On the occasion of the Salon international de l'agriculture 2022, the economic observatory for official signs of quality and origin in Nouvelle-Aquitaine has unveiled its memento.

Based on 2019 statistical data, this publication is the fruit of a partnership between the INAO, the Chambre régionale d'agriculture Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the DRAAF Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the AANA.

Une étude sur la durabilité des filières AOP Maroilles

Afin de se démarquer des autres productions et de répondre à l'évolution des attentes sociétales (davantage de qualité, transparency and authenticity), it's important for chains under official quality signs to measure their actions linked to sustainable developmentand thus reaffirm their added values. The Observatoire économique des SIQO en Hauts-de-France has carried out a study on the sustainability of dairy PDO sectors applied to Maroilles, the region's emblematic cheese.
