Key figures for SIQO products in Burgundy Franche-Comté [ODG].
As part of the Bourgogne Franche-Comté regional observatory, a publication presenting the 2021 key figures for regional products under official signs of identification of quality and origin (SIQO) has just been published. This document is the fruit of a partnership between the INAO (Centre-Est territorial delegation), the DRAAF, the Regional Chamber of Agriculture and BIO Bourgogne Franche-Comté.

With 137 products under AOC, AOP, IGP and IG, 44 products under Label Rouge and 243,633 hectares under organic farming (+23.7% / 2019), the Bourgogne Franche-Comté region is fully committed to SIQO production. It ranks 5th among French regions in terms of the number of SIQO products. The document gives a global and precise vision of the regional sectors.
INAO and the economic monitoring of SIQO
INAO collects and analyzes economic data for products under SIQO. The Institute makes the most of this information through various media: key figures, regional mementos, industry data...
These documents are drawn up using data collected during the annual statistical survey of defense and management bodies (producers' associations, professional federations of products under official signs) and in partnership with other public players (FranceAgriMer, INRAE, AGRESTE, the Regional Directorates of Agriculture, Agri-Food and Forestry, Agence Bio, regional Chambers of Agriculture, etc.).
