The event will enable participants to gain a better understanding of the scope of INAO's protection and action in this field, at national, European and international levels. It will also feature testimonials from the various parties involved in these actions, in particular the agricultural attachés of the Ministry of Agriculture and the ODGs who are particularly involved in these initiatives. Interested defense and management organizations, as well as administrations and federations, are invited to attend this unprecedented conference, which will be offered on an annual basis.

An essential action to guarantee the durability of SIQO

INAO is the guarantor of French geographical indications. In France and abroad, the Institute ensures that the names of geographical indications are not usurped or misappropriated. To carry out its international protection actions, INAO relies in particular on professionals, ODGs and interprofessions, an international network of lawyers, and the French diplomatic network.
