Already present at the 2021 edition, this year the Institute has continued its communication with local elected officials, with the aim of promoting products under official signs of quality and origin (SIQO) in collective catering.
This comes in the wake of the enactment of the 2018 EGalim Law, which stipulates, in meals served in public collective catering, a composition of at least 50% in value of sustainable and quality food products, notably under SIQO, from January 1, 2022. Thus, Label Rouge, LR; Appellation d'origine protégée, AOP; Indication géographique protégée, IGP; Agriculture biologique, AB; Spécialité traditionnelle garantie, STG - are included in this calculation.
A program dedicated to promoting products under SIQO
- cooking events with the presentation of recipes adapted to mass catering made on site by our chef, followed by tastings,
- distribution of accompanying guides for mass catering players,
- time for exchanges with visitors,
- a wall of committed communes.
