A regional meeting with the Val de Loire ODGs

The Val-de-Loire territorial delegation of the INAO is organizing another regional meeting with local ODGs on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at the Indre-et-Loire Chamber of Agriculture. Discussions will focus on the theme of "Creating value from products under official quality and origin identification signs".

Value creation is an essential issue for promoting local know-how, guaranteeing fair remuneration for operators and raising public awareness of the importance of consuming quality products. The meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss the successes and difficulties encountered by ODGs and collectively identify levers for adaptation in a changing context.

Morning: creating value under official signs
  • 8:30: welcome to participants
  • 9:00: introduction by INAO management
  • 9:15: creating value: definition and valorizing path
  • 10:00: distribution's angle on SIQO enhancement (major witness)
  • 10:30am: ODG and professional testimonials on value creation
  • 12:00pm: assessment of INAO's communication campaign aimed at the general public, and information on future plans
12:30pm-13:30pm: lunch
Afternoon: concrete cases facing the challenges of value creation
  • 13:30: workshops for exchanges and experience sharing between ODGs (to be chosen upon registration):
    • 1: the obstacles to promoting a Label Rouge
    • 2: the difficulties of governance for an ODG that is evolving
    • 3: how to assert the superior quality of Label Rouge in an increasingly competitive market context
    • 4: HR issues within an ODG
    • 5: how to develop markets and access PGI and Label Rouge mass catering?
    • 6: how to develop promotion with a limited budget?
  • 14:15: plenary restitution of workshop summaries
  • 15:45: insights: diagnoses and strategies to create value (daytime moderator)
  • 16:00: summary of the day (keynote speaker)
  • 16:15: general conclusion by M. Philippe Brisebarre, President of the INAO Permanent Council
  • 4:30pm: end of day
