Frozen shepherd's pie earns Label Rouge status

Eating better while reducing preparation time is one of the expectations of consumers. Frozen shepherd's pie had to meet this need: since March 23, this essential product has been able to benefit from a Label Rouge (specifications n° LA 03/20) which certifies its superior quality compared to a standard product. The Label Rouge product will be marketed in mass catering and supermarkets.

A "mass market" product...

The recognition of "Hachis Parmentier surgelé" in the Label Rouge family is in line with the development objectives for products under official signs of identification of quality and origin (SIQO) retained by the EGALIM law, which calls for at least 50% sustainable food products, including those under SIQO, to be included in mass catering menus by 2022. This new Label Rouge product can be offered for sale in large format for mass catering, but also in more traditional formats (individual trays, family meals) for supermarkets and hypermarkets.

... characterized by quality ingredients

As always for Label Rouge processed products, the raw materials used are strictly controlled both in terms of their proportions and their origin. This is essential to guarantee the superior quality of our frozen Shepherd's Pie. Superior quality means carefully selected ingredients: a minimum of 40% Label Rouge minced beef stuffing containing a portion of shredded meat with the characteristic texture of Parmentier minced meat, and a thick purée (maximum 58%) cooked on the day of preparation. The potatoes may even be Label Rouge. All ingredients are guaranteed "GMO-free", and spices and herbs are non-ionized. No flavoring is added to ensure authentic flavor.
The final touch is provided by Label Rouge Emmental or Comté AOP and breadcrumbs, which adorn the product's cover.
The stages of stuffing and mashed potato preparation, assembly, packaging and deep-freezing are carried out continuously, on the same day.
