DataSIQO is aimed at a wide audience of users: from farmers, to ODGs (defense and management organizations) and other industry players, to agricultural consultancy players, but also to local authorities, public decision-makers and the world of agricultural and university vocational training.

Noting the lack of homogeneous, centralized, recent data on these subjects, the Réseau des Chambres d'agriculture and INAO wanted to join forces to build this tool with the aim of promoting the place and role of official signs of identification of quality and origin (SIQO) in the economy of territories.

A tool to enhance the value of SIQO sectors

Through a battery of data from the annual statistical survey of ODGs, supplied by INAO, DataSIQO offers users the opportunity to track the evolution of SIQO sectors since 2018, at different scales. What's more, the tool intends to present as accurately as possible the value generated by SIQO in the territories, by enhancing the economic weight of these sectors in the agricultural economy.

A tool to encourage the economic development of sectors under SIQO

This dynamic portal provides rapid access, while respecting statistical confidentiality, to economic information on SIQO operators, volumes marketed and sales generated. DataSIQO contributes to the strategic advice offered to farmers and the collectives to which they belong. It also aims to contribute to the structuring of new SIQO sectors in local areas, by encouraging collaboration between economic operators and identifying new business opportunities. The tool will contribute to supporting political decision-making and the orientations taken by local authorities in favor of the development of these sectors in the territories.

An interactive tool to promote products under SIQO

Thanks to its playful interface and ergonomics, DataSIQO finally aims to be a "General Public" tool for communicating about SIQOs, raising consumer awareness of quality products from their territory, and providing information to the catering sector.
DataSIQO highlights the diversity of sectors under SIQO that can meet the objectives set by the EGAlim law in terms of canteen supply: with meals served in collective restaurants composed of 50% quality and sustainable products, including 20% from organic farming, SIQOs are at the heart of this scheme in favor of quality food for as many people as possible.
