In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2018/848, each member state must have a database listing organic animal offers available on their territory. This tool enables operators to publish offers of organic animals free of charge, and buyers to consult availability near them.
This database is set to evolve. Initially, only the consultation and publication of offers sections will be available. New services and tools may be added at a later date. In order to design these tools as closely as possible to needs, users are invited to send us their comments and suggestions on this database by writing to animauxbio@inao.gouv.fr.
Online derogation request soon available
Any request for derogation for the purchase of non-organic animals will have to be formulated as a consequence of information drawn from this database, the consultation of which would reveal an unavailability of the desired animals. The database itself will serve as a basis for derogation requests. Pending effective deployment of the derogation section, operators concerned can contact their certification body.
