A longtime advocate for the wines of the Loire Valley, François-Régis de Fougeroux served as managing director of Maison Langlois in Saumur and of Domaine Hubert Brochard in Sancerre. He also played an active role in professional organizations, serving as honorary president of the Union des Maisons et Marques de Vins du Val de Loire and vice president of InterLoire.

Within the INAO, he had been a member of the National Committee for Designations of Origin for Wines and Alcoholic Beverages (CNAOV) since 2017, representing the Loire Valley region. He also participated in the work of the INAO Loire Valley Regional Committee (CRINAO). Through his involvement, he actively contributed to discussions and decisions regarding the development and promotion of appellations of origin.

A native of the Mauges region and raised in a farming family, François-Régis de Fougeroux maintained a deep attachment to the terroir and the people who bring it to life throughout his career. After studying plant biology, he turned to the wine industry and joined Maison Langlois in 2001. He rose quickly through the ranks, holding several positions in succession before becoming CEO at a young age. Over the years, he guided the development of this iconic Loire Valley house, notably contributing to the structuring of its operations around sparkling wines and the expansion of his responsibilities within the Bollinger Group.

Recognized for his professionalism, his team spirit, and his ability to bring people together, François-Régis de Fougeroux distinguished himself through his unwavering commitment to quality, terroir, and the promotion of Loire Valley wines. He is remembered as a man who was deeply dedicated to his work and committed to passing on knowledge and developing the wine industry.
