INAO, partner of the Concours général agricole

For over 150 years, the Concours général agricole has been a showcase for French agricultural and gastronomic excellence, rewarding and promoting the best French products at the Salon international de l'Agriculture. Every year, some 400 jurors attend training courses run by INAO staff, benefiting from the skills and know-how of our experts. Why not join us?

More than 70% of products entered in the CGA bear one of the official quality and origin identification marks (SIQO). Becoming a juror for the Concours Général Agricole requires training. The CGA offers an extensive program of training courses in tasting and sensory analysis. They enable volunteers at all levels and throughout the country to acquire or develop tasting skills, from initiation to perfection, to evaluate products. Wines from all French wine-growing regions, rums, whiskies, oysters, honeys and jams... there's something for every taste and passion.

Products with official signs of quality and origin at the heart of the Competition

Registrations are open to all knowledgeable epicureans. Developed mainly in conjunction with INAO, these training courses are paid for directly by the Competition and are free of charge. Participants and future jurors undertake only to be present at the finals at the Salon International de l'Agriculture in Paris.
