36 producers win the Concours Général Agricole excellence award
The Prix d'Excellence rewards producers for their consistency and the quality of their products, during the last three sessions of the Concours Général Agricole. 36 producers were honored by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Mme Annie Genevard, this Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

In contrast to traditional medals, which distinguish a specific product, the Prix d'Excellence highlights the overall talent and passion of producers, whose products regularly win awards. To obtain it, candidates must have taken part in the last three editions of the competition and display the best ratio of medals obtained to the number of products presented.
INAO, CGA partner for jury training
A veritable showcase of French agricultural and gastronomic excellence for over 150 years, the Concours général agricole rewards and promotes the best French products at the Salon international de l'Agriculture. Every year, some 400 jurors attend training courses run by INAO staff, benefiting from the skills and know-how of our experts. They enable volunteers to acquire or develop tasting skills, from initiation to perfection, to assess a wide range of products: wines from all French wine-growing regions, rums, whiskies, oysters or even honeys and jams.
In addition, it should be noted that more than 70% of the products entered in the CGA carry one of the official signs of identification of quality and origin (SIQO).
