INAO at the Tech&Bio 2023 international agricultural trade fair

Organized every 2 years by the Chambers of Agriculture, the Tech&Bio International Agricultural Show was back again on September 20 and 21, 2023, in Bourg-lès-Valence in the Drôme, at the Lycée agricole du Valentin. INAO was present on the stand of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty (DRAAF Rhône-Alpes).

The largest French trade show dedicated to organic and alternative techniques, Tech&Bio represents a unique opportunity to discover all the new techniques in organic production. It is aimed at all professionals involved in agriculture: farmers committed to organic farming or not, teachers, students, researchers, advisors... Over 120 technical workshops and field demonstrations, 70 conferences took place. 375 exhibitors and 21,000 visitors attended. 20 European countries were represented.

A conference and events around SIQO

INAO has been promoting organic farming as an official sign of identification of quality and origin. In this context, the institute held a conference on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 on the theme of the regulations on organic seedlings and their practical consequences on the database: "New regulations on fruit seedlings in AB: possibilities and implementation".

Actions enhanced by tastings and talks by professionals from the various sectors enabled visitors to discover several products under local SIQO:

The French Minister for Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Marc Fesneau, also visited the stand. During the show, visitors were able to test their knowledge with a fun booklet on official signs of origin and quality.
