Publication of 2020 key figures

The "2020 key figures" brochure for products with quality and origin labels is now available. Sales, production volumes, wine exports, number of recognized products... these figures provide an overview of the economic activity of sectors under official signs and how it will evolve in relation to 2019.

These data have been compiled from responses to the INAO's annual statistical survey of producer associations and trade federations for products under official signs. Numerous partners have also contributed to this publication: FranceAgriMer, the DRAAFs, the Ministry of Agriculture's statistics and forecasting department, the General Directorate of Customs and Indirect Rights, Agence Bio, the Federation of Wine and Spirits Exporters...

In 2020, there were 1,183 products with official certification (excluding organic), i.e. :

The year 2020 was marked by the Covid-19 pandemic and the ensuing sanitary measures. Nevertheless, the majority of sectors are growing this year, such as bread, flour and bakery products, meat (excluding poultry), fruit and vegetables, and fatty palmipeds. Other sectors are down on 2019, such as the wine and spirits sectors, which have seen their sales and exports decline in 2020.
