90th anniversary exhibition: SIQO (official quality and origin identification signs)

Protected Designation of Origin (PDO)
The PDO designates an agricultural or agri-food product, all the production stages of which are carried out in the same geographical area and according to a recognized know-how, which give the product its characteristics.

Protected Geographical Indication (PGI)
PGI identifies an agricultural or agri-food product whose quality, reputation or other characteristics are linked to its geographical territory. At least one of the manufacturing stages takes place in this territory.

Traditional Speciality Guaranteed (STG)
The STG corresponds to a product whose specific qualities are linked to a composition, manufacturing or processing methods based on a tradition, and not to a geographical origin.

Label Rouge
Le Label Rouge is a national sign of quality that designates agricultural, agri-food or non-food agricultural products which, through their production or manufacturing conditions, have a superior level of quality compared to so-called "standard" products.

Organic farming
Organic farming is a production method that combines environmentally friendly practices, respect for biodiversity, preservation of natural resources and the assurance of a high level of animal welfare.
